All things new...

I am now crawling, eating 3 meals a day, playing w/ my brother big time. Here are some of our latest adventures. I even got to go the fire station and BABES!!! woo hoo. Not to mention...I am sleeping through the night now after some "tough love" and we are all much happier every day. Mom has more energy and I am happy again!

WOW, How time does fly

SO...I knew it had been a while, but didn't know it was THIS long! SO sorry. Truly I am loved as much as Luke, even though the posts dont reflect that fact! Actually, if you think about it, you know I am loved because we are so busy doing stuff that we don't have time to post...Luke must have been so boring. :0)

So really since I have checked in last, too much has happened to even update. WE all got the flu, the floors have been replaced, I finally got to meet my Aunts Diane, Marcy, and Gray and Casey and my cousins in Colorado, and my Aunt Pansy and Uncle Bill and my grandma came on vacation with me. I have seen fireworks, gone swimming several times, am close to crawling, eating real food that mom makes me...all those little baby things are gone, gone gone.

I am still as joyful as ever. My nickname is still Moose and Happy Cat because I rarely am not smiling or laughing. I bring joy to my brother and mom and dad daily. The dog even loves me to death. All in all, Life is Good and I am amazingly blessed.
In the near future, mom is hoping to get me enrolled in a Gymboree class so I can start doing stuff with just her once a week...but we are still trying to work out the logistics. So here are a few pics and hopefully youc can figure out what they are! Highlights are the 4th of July and my Breckenridge vacation.

and finally if you don't think I love my life...who else can say they have so much fun they just gotta stop for a nap!?

4 months

Hi everyone!

We have been super busy with our house falling apart, so this is a really great thing that I can get these pictures to you. Last week we had the sprinklers fixed, the house slightly flooded, and termites!! This week mom got mastitis and we are starting to repair all the water damage...we probably have a few more weeks to go on this whole thing but until then...here are some pics of me on my 4 month birthday! I got my very first vaccination yesterday and I came through like a champ. Not only did I not cry one single tear, I smiled at the nurse...if you now me, they call me Happy cause I am so easygoing. I am now 15lbs!!! HOSS...to give you a reference, my "big" brother was only 18lbs at ONE YEAR...HA...mom didn't think she'd be able to use the same clothes for us, but little did she know she could. BUT I can almost wear Luke's clothes from last summer when he was 1!!! SHEEESSSHHH....they say I have some big shoes to fill, but I beg to differ!!!
Truly, I do have a fantastic big brother that loves me very much. He even asks me "please" when he wants to play with my toys...can you beat that?! I can't answer him, but mom always gives it to him!
You can also see that Cheddar has accepted me as one of the family! She weaseled in on my couch space. She actually likes me better than Luke at this point in time because he bugs her so much! Life is good!

out and about

We've had a busy few days...
I got to go to the Ft. Worth Arts Festival on Sunday, the Arboretum on Tuesday, yesterday some friends came to play...busy busy busy.
AND all that amidst the downstairs partially flooding, termites and a crabby brother! This is the life!! :0) Ya take the good and ya take the bad! Or so I hear.

3 months already!!!

It is hard to believe I am already 3 months old!! I have been growing like a weed. I am almost 14 lbs already. I am quite different from Luke...he was long and lean, and I am a born fighting machine. I am built like a baseball catcher...which may work out well for us if he keeps throwing left handed, we could practice together!
I actually giggled for mom today as she held me almost upside down. Apparently I like the scary stuff so I will start bucking for a 6 Flags season pass early!
I am noticing everything around me now and following everyone around the house with my eyes. I actually get to sit at the table in my Bumbo during meal time, and take baths at the same time as Luke. He is in the big tub and I am in the small one on the counter. Soon, we are hoping to hang out together...we both have a lot in common in that we enjoy peeing in the water...so that should be fun, although probably not too cleansing. I will try to convince these people to take more pictures of me and who knows...maybe even a video. They can pick up with me where they left off with Luke...right about 3 months!! :0)

Getting big

I am doing so many new things lately...I can grab my toys on my kick mat, I can sit up in my Bumbo for a while, if mom pulls my arms, I can hold my head up and stand up!! Of course, I am still sooo happy and smile all the time. Yesterday I went to my first library time. It was fun, but a bit of a stretch for mom to play with me AND Luke...Maybe we will give it another go when I can sit up on my own a bit more! But it was great to see all of Luke's friends. They love me and Paige is having her own little brother soon, so we will be able to play together too!!

Lots going on

I am doing great. I weigh over 13 lbs now and am learning to love my new life. I am such a happy kid. I didn't get sick when Luke and mom were, so we are all thrilled about that. I have been tons of places, mainly for Luke to play. (check out his site for more on that...) Life around the house has been good. I love my brother and am a BIG talker. Everyone thinks that we will start talking at the same time. He better get a move on it, I am over 1/2 his size already and may pass him up if he doesn't watch it! My dark hair is falling out and coming in lighter, so he may have some real competition on his hands. Here are some photos of me chilling out.

Getting some love from Luke

Bath time...Luke washes my hair and belly for me

Luke is really AWESOME...he often just comes and hangs out right next to me when mom is doing something and she always catches us brothers chillin out. So here are a few, you can see....we are hoping to be best of buddies some day!

2 month check up

All is well!! I will get pictures up asap. BUT wanted to update everyone...as of today we are 12lbs 7oz and no problems so far, other than the constant congestion; which we are told is normal and not to worry about. I am in the 71% in both height and weight and 65% in my head circumference. Don't get too excited, Luke was that big too at 2 months and we know what a whippet he is!! But, he is in the 70% height too still so that ain't too bad.
BIG NEWS...I JUST ROLLED OVER!! Mom made me do it 3 times in a row to make sure it wasn't a fluke...if she can figure out the fancy video camera she might just attempt to post it.
I am getting so big and am about to retire much of my 0-3 months and newborn clothes...good thing mom and dad didn't really buy any, it would have been a waste of money!!
Yesterday I went to a barn thing with Luke. I got stuck in the stroller and sling, but it was a pretty day and we needed out. Monday we are venturing to the Childrens' Museam at Fair Park with some friends for the big Dr. Seuss birthday bash for free. I hear it is a long way down there, so it should be an interesting trip...it will be our biggest adventure yet!
Well, I gotta go, I just wanted to let everyone know we are okay and growing and learning new things.
We'll put pictures up soon hopefully.

Hi there! It has been a long month since checking in...they are breaking me in to the new scene. I am about to go into my own room, I will keep you updated on that soon!
Let's see...main highlights:
1) I am GROWING a lot, I am over 1/2 the size of my brother...ha ha.
2) I have been on several adventures lately...most of them I sleep through, but you can look on Luke's blog to see all the stuff we did.
3 The last 2 nights I have slept 6 and 7 hours respectively...mom is totally stoked and is trying not to get TOO excited because she knows it is most likely a fluke!
4) I continue to be a GREAT baby...very tolerant of my brother's inquisitive nature and insistence on giving me a bath with mom.
5) I am starting to smile and am very ticklish so that is fun for mom and dad to watch during the few times when it is just me around...those of you that know luke, know he doesn't sleep much!!
So far this outside of the womb deal is a piece of cake! Here are a couple of the FEW pics I have to entertain you!!
me and the bro

me and dad...i sleep a LOT!!

my one month picture with my pillow Aunt Marcy made me....she gave luke his now famous monkey too!!!

Not quite there yet!

Hi everyone. So, we are not quite ready to have a handle on everything yet, but thought I would post some pictures of me and the crew. I just got to see more family yesterday and will load those as soon as me and Luke give mom a break!! My brother is the coolest, he calls me Zosh; which is now what the whole family calls me. I am told I am a WONDERFUL baby. I got to meet my Grandma Van Zeeland for a week and it was the best ever. She is a fantastic lady. I miss her already. My Oma has been a huge help to mom. My brother and I are tag teaming her all day long and she really gets no sleep. BUT like Luke said, at least we both get a lot of 1 on 1 time with her. She seems to think it would be better if she got some time with her, but she will be fine! Mom and Luke have taken me to some fun places...parks. Tomorrow I am supposed to get to go to a music class as well..whatever that is. Mom bought me my own new sling to ride around in, so I am sure when the weather is a bit nicer we will put that to good use. She did carry me in the sling, Luke in his wagon, and Cheddar on her leash to the park the other day. Folks looked at us strangely, but I guess that is to be expected when your mom looks really wheels off. I am told to just suck it up and get used to it.
I am starting to get the hang of this new day and night thing...I am logging more wake hours than before, which translates to more night sleep hours...which mom and dad are VERY thankful for. I really don't fuss at all unless I am hungry or tired or dirty...sounds easy enough to fix. Mom and Dad keep thinking since I am, and Luke was, so good they are in for a doozie of the next 18 years!
Here are some random pics to hold you over til mom gets more sleep and can fill you in more. What we have certainly learned is that 2nd kids don't get nearly as many photo ops as the first!!! probably the first of many shafts!!
